MIH-Dreadnaught

The MIH-Dreadnaught is based on the classic Martin Pre War instrument .  The MIH prefix  is in honour of a good friend Mark Hare who sadly passed away in 2006 . He was a big man with a big heart and a big voice . The Dreadnaught is my largest size instrument . At 16inches across the lower bout and almost 5 inches deep at the tail this design tends to favour the  bass frequencies. It is  possible however to get a more balanced and even sound by reducing the body depth and making the back plate a littler stiffer. Different wood combinations also influence the final sound character.
